Step 2 Connect Excel

Now that you've set up the ODBC connection, let's get some data! To connect Excel, watch the video or continue reading below:

  1. Open Excel and select the Data tab.

  2. Select Get Data on the left side of the tool bar.

  3. Select From Other Sources.

  4. Select From ODBC.

  5. In the new window, select "Walmart BI Link" in the drop-down menu.

  6. Under Advanced Options, enter an SQL statement that aggregates the data.

    Please refer to our Common Use SQL page for sample SQL statements.

  7. Import the data using your preferred options.

When new tables are released, repeat the steps above to add the new tables to your available data sets.
